Heart of Stone shows a small heart placed on the rock. Nothing spectacular. Just a gesture.
The stone does not respond. It is there, massive, indifferent.
This heart was left the way one leaves a trace, or abandons something. We don’t know for whom. We will probably never know whether it will be seen, understood, or ignored.
The image speaks of a simple and risky act: offering without any guarantee. Placing something fragile in front of something that does not move.
One dry question remains, without romanticism: did the one for whom this heart was intended even have the capacity to respond, or was he already made of stone?
